Escape Plan:
Start the day off with a short drive across Lake Washington and along Lake Sammamish up into the Cascade foothills to our region's self-named Mountains to Sound Greenway, straddling Interstate 90, in the heart of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. With the adventurous day before us we stop to view the breath taking Snoqualmie Falls and experience up close and personal the 268’ falls tumbling over granite cliffs into the emerald canyon below. This place is overflowing with peaks, lakes, rivers and streams and the perfect region to enjoy the outdoors during the winter. Depending on conditions, your guide will pick the Trail of the Day and embark on an interpretive snowshoe through a northwest winter wonderland experiencing the season’s beauty and the adaptive ecosystem! Track and spot wildlife and wintering birds, all the while making sure we take time just taking in some magical scenery. Your naturalist guide will also share their vast knowledge of winter ecology, sustainability during the winter and extreme weather wilderness survival skills. You will also witness a grand landscape in motion - as seen from a geological perspective, your guide will describe the forces that have shaped the land, which only adds to the pleasure of the remarkable panorama.

We end this memorable experience in a winter wonderland of fire and sparkling snow making this one enchanting evening – Tiki torches light the way to the cozy bonfire circle surrounded by candlelight luminarios. Sip on hot buttered rum, hot spiced cider and/or Theo’s organic sipping cocoa. On the plate indulge in local Beechers cheeses, Washington apples, NW smoked sockeye salmon lox, bagels and cream cheese.... And of course s’mores. Selection is all up to you!
