San Francisco

Since the California Gold Rush on, San Francisco has remained the most iconic Western American city of our time. Its rolling landscape of street cars, bridges, harbor views and vibrant neighborhoods is more than just a snapshot of bay area life-it captures your spirit and invites you into this dynamic society, full of life and possibility. Long a cultural Mecca for intellectuals and visionaries, the city seems in perpetual renaissance from the Beat movement in North Beach to the Haight-Ashbury Summer of Love, the Castro fight for equality and the sustained dot-com boom. From the Chinese New Year to San Francisco Pride, ethnic and cultural diversity are woven together amongst historic landmarks to create a place unlike anywhere in the world.

Oh, Sonoma…. here we will soak up a balanced blend of viticultural and agricultural experiences that will indulge your sense. This storybook wine region, boasting no less than 12 sub-appellations, has warm inviting tasting rooms, premium wineries, picturesque vineyards and charming inns. The Valley’s approachability is outshined only by their not-to-be-missed diversions.  With choices that include ambling between urbane tasting rooms, a slow drive from vineyard to vineyard, or an overnight stay in a romantic wine-country inn, it’s hard to decide what beckons us the most.

Discover Cavallo Point, a San Francisco Bay area luxury lodge in one of America’s most popular national parks. It’s one of the most romantic destinations in the area and a great springboard for Northern California adventures. In addition to being a member of Historic Hotels of America, this San Francisco luxury resort was named one of the “Top 10 New American Landmarks” by Travel+Leisure and also received LEED Gold Certification for its environmentally sustainable design and construction.

Yosemite National Park

From Half Dome to Glacier Point, Yosemite National Park stands above in beyond in beauty. First protected in 1864, the park is best known for its waterfalls, deep valleys, grand meadows, giant sequoias and vast wilderness. Every turn of its scenic roads will leave you in awe; every granite monolith will make your jaw drop. Learn the stories of those who walked Yosemite’s trails, hike some its iconic pathways, and enjoy the serenity and nature of one of the last great wildernesses.

Redwood National Park

The ancient coast redwood is the tallest living thing on our planet!  These remarkable trees live to be 500-1,000 years old, grow to a diameter of 12-16 feet, and stand from 200-250 feet tall. Some trees survive to over 2,000 years and tower above 350 feet. Coast redwoods are classified as temperate rainforests and they need wet and mild climates to survive. Groves of ancient redwoods stand together as a testament to the wonders of the natural world; offering solace from the hustle and bustle of daily life, great inspiration and a place for quiet reflection.

Eureka and Northern Coast

California occupies 800 miles along the American Pacific coast, which is over half of America’s western coastline. It is long and thin, measuring around 250 miles wide, and bordered on the east by the mighty Sierra Nevada Mountains. Here amazing views abound and both beaches and surrounding bluffs capture the verve, energy and power of the mighty Pacific surf breaking against sea-splitting headlands and miles of beaches.
