Deception Pass Tour from Seattle

Deception Pass Tour (coming November 1, 2018)!

Wrapped in epic landscapes, Deception Pass State Park is a must-see. Whidbey Island, Anacortes and the San Juan Islands surround this Northwestern gem!

In the summer, millions of visitors explore this stunning collection of jagged cliffs, ripping currents and secret coastlines–making Deception Pass Washington’s most-visited State Park. With huge views of the the San Juan Islands, the Salish Sea, the Olympic Mountains and Vancouver Island, it’s no wonder why this hidden highlight is so well-loved! While it’s a hot spot in the summer, we love it in the winter when migrating birds return and tourists head home. Few places are more-perfectly Northwestern!

Our Deception Pass State Park Tour from Seattle is an excellent way to spend a day outside of the city! Located on the northern end of the largest island in the Salish Sea, Deception Pass provides unparalleled opportunities to experience the true Pacific Northwest with miles of rugged coast, massive old growth trees, and adrenaline-pumping bridges.

You’ll embark on interpretive nature walks led by our naturalist guides, bird watch, challenge yourself to stroll across the iconic 180′ high bridge that connects Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands, and scan for a glimpse of the the occasional whale passing through the Puget Sound. Time permitting—head up to Mt. Erie’s viewpoint to marvel at the Salish Sea or explore the historic Fort Casey and its exquisite old lighthouse.

We’ll bring coffee and tea to ward off those crisp winter mornings and a beautiful local lunch with Washington State wine to maximize our time in the park and around Whidbey Island.  On the way home we’ll stop for local libations to wrap things up in celebration!

Our small group Deception Pass Day Tour is $199 per person before WA State Tax.  We’ll pick you up (and drop you off) right at your downtown Seattle hotel, AirBNB or rental!

Traveler Testimonials

Here is what travelers are saying about their Evergreen Escapes experiences right now:

Beautiful Day!
Sean was our guide and truly made the trip enjoyable! He was funny, informative, patient and a good driver. The itinerary was perfect; good stops, easy to walk, much to see, great lunch and cookies! Also, our small group of 9 having never met before, chatted like we were “old” friends! Thanks for the great memories!!

TripAdvisor, September 2018

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Seattle. It was nice to get out of the city for the day. Our tour guide, JD, was prompt to picking us up and awesome. There were only 10 of us so it was very nice and intimate. This tour exceeded our expectations. The coffee, snacks and lunch were great. You only need to bring your camera, they take care of everything. This tour was worth every penny!

TripAdvisor, August 2018

The small group environment allows 1-on-1 interaction with the tour guide, sort of like why small school classes are generally better than large university classes. Justin was knowledgeable about trees, ecosystems, forests, etc.  It was like a private tour and we felt safe and secure!  My family had a wonderful time with our group; we will remember this tour for the rest of our lives!!

What an incredible experience! Evergreen Escapes provided our group of friends a beautiful hike with delicious food and wine. Justin, our guide was very informative about the history and ecology of the park. He was also attentive to everyone’s needs throughout the day making sure everyone was comfortable. We look forward to doing this again soon!
