Olympic National Park Discover this gem of a destination with an expert naturalist at your side. Hike the country’s oldest forests down to prehistoric-looking beaches. At the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, take an interpretative walk out onto the sand spit. Twice a year, waterfowl and shorebirds descend on these parts. Head up to Hurricane Ridge for a panorama of jagged peaks, alpine meadows, and the sea. Embark on a journey to the wild and rugged coast and the jaw dropping rainforest that makes this park one of only 20 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in North America.

Mt Rainier National Park This ultimate Cascadia mountain experience is all about the highs. At 14,411 feet, Mt. Rainier’s peak is the tallest in the Cascade Range. Washington’s crown jewel is encased in more than 35 square miles of snow and ice. Adventure abounds amid its surrounding old-growth forests, alpine meadows, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls and wildlife.

North Cascades National Park Adventuring from Seattle into the North Cascades National Park is a unique and unforgettable experience as this is one of the least visited and most rugged parks in the US.  It is nicknamed the “American Alps” because while hiking through the park’s alpine meadows or along its high, rocky ridges visitors observe a seemingly endless sea of jagged peaks and glaciers. This is a land where powerful rivers wind through towering, glacier-capped peaks and we will embark on this journey to experience it all.  On the “trail of the day” we might meander along the forested shores of Lake Diablo or we may push on up to Cascade Pass for a stunning view of some of the largest glaciers in the North Cascades National Park.  And after a day’s hike we will be sure to indulge ourselves at Cascadian Farms with their fresh organic berries and ice cream.

Crater Lake National Park Crater Lake National Park is one of America’s oldest national parks and has been a source of public enjoyment and inspiration for over 100 years. We’ll take some short hikes and visit the Sinnot Memorial Overlook with panoramic views and fascinating exhibits, as well as the Science and Marine center.

[/box]

Redwood National Park The Redwood’s diverse habitats include ancient forests, upland prairies, pristine river systems and the Pacific Ocean at Crescent Beach. Named for the shape of the coastline just south of Crescent City, this somewhat sheltered beach provides a variety of recreational opportunities, including beachcombing, fishing, wildlife viewing, watching sunsets, and surfing. This habitat is dominated by animals better suited to the life aquatic: spouting gray whales, wave-riding harbor porpoises, curious harbor seals and California sea lions, and even river otters are not uncommon neighbors. Also drawn to the ocean are many winged creatures: brown pelicans cruise ocean-generated waves of air, while osprey and the occasional bald eagle hover for fishy prey.

Lassen Volcanic National Park Treat your senses as we travel through the valleys and forests on the way to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Once we arrive, we’ll witness a brief moment in the ancient battle between the earth shaping forces of creation and destruction. Nestled within Lassen’s peaceful mountain forests we will find that hissing fumaroles and boiling mud pots still shape and change the land. Your escape artist will give you an in-depth look at this area, including stops for photos, swimming and short hikes.
