Escape Plan:
See the city through different eyes. Learn the fundamentals of photography and your own camera, while also learning about the history and culture of this unique place. We'll meet downtown and then set out on foot, exploring the ins and outs of Pike Place Market, Post Alley, the Waterfront and Pioneer Square. We'll explore the "tools in your toolbox" for capturing the images you desire and setting yours apart from the average snapshot. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, a local or a first time visitor, we tailor the experience so that everyone gains new knowledge about Seattle and photography. Learn how to manipulate depth of field, motion, white balance, ISO, spot metering and flash. Experiment with new ways to compose your shots, and look at the world of patterns, reflections and natural frames all around you. Local Photographer Mira Poling (www.mirastories.com) will lead you on a photo journey to develop your photographer's vision, while getting at the true essence of this magical place. With these new tricks up your sleeve you'll be able to look at the Emerald City in a whole new way and capture it in the way you always wanted to.
