Mt. Rainier looms large in the hearts of Northwestern residents.  On a clear day the beautiful, hulking monolith can be seen from just about anywhere.  At the height of summer, lucky travelers and locals alike make a pilgrrimage to her flower-flanked trails for the kind of relaxation, fresh air, and peace that only comes with a walk in a quiet, magnificently wild place. We’ll set out on foot for an easy 3.5 mile loop to really experience Mt. Rainier National Park’s magic.

There’s really only one way to follow up that type of transcendental human experience…wine tasting.  There’s no better place than Washington State’s steadily ascending wine region, the Yakima Valley.  Euro-American settlers brought wine grapes to the state in the mid-1800’s; Washington’s residents have worked hard on their wines ever since.  Today, a new winery opens every 15 days!  We partner with wineries that paint a beautiful picture of this rich heritage; we’ll visit two excellent winemakers east of the tallest mountain in Washington!

We bring lots of snacks, a local lunch, coffee, tea and local wine! Our small group Mt. Rainier & Yakima Valley Wine Tasting Day Tour is $239 per person before WA State Tax.  We’ll pick you up from your downtown hotel, AirBNB or rental!

Hike Mount Rainier & Yakima Wine Tasting Tour – Traveler Testimonials

Here is what recent travelers have said about our Mt. Rainier & Yakima Valley wine trips:

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Seattle. It was nice to get out of the city for the day. Our tour guide, JD, was prompt to picking us up and awesome.  There were only 10 of us so it was very nice and intimate.  This tour exceeded our expectations.  The coffee, snacks and lunch were great.  You only need to bring your camera, they take care of everything.  This tour was worth every penny!  Mt Rainier is beautiful and the history lesson was great.

-Samantha F.(TripAdvisor Review)

The small group environment allows 1-on-1 interaction with the tour guide, sort of like why small school classes are generally better than large university classes. Justin was knowledgeable about trees, ecosystems, forests, etc.  It was like a private tour and we felt safe and secure!  My family had a wonderful time with our group; we will remember this tour for the rest of our lives!!

-Joon, Young, David & Peter (TripAdvisor Review)

What an incredible experience!  Evergreen Escapes provided our group of friends a beautiful hike through Mt. Rainier with delicious food and wine tasting.  Justin, our guide was very informative about the history and ecology of the park.  He was also attentive to everyone’s needs throughout the day making sure everyone was comfortable.  We look forward to doing this again soon!
