Erin Smallwood

Erin is an educator and outdoor enthusiast originally raised in the foothills of the Cascades outside of Bend, Oregon. Erin moved here in 2021 and has loved getting to know the beauty and wonder of Washington state and all its mountains, rivers, and oceans. When Erin isn't teaching history at the community college in Everett, you can find her hiking with her golden retriever Bella, backpacking, or baking lots of goodies! One of the things that Erin loves learning about most is our relationship with the natural world and Indigenous practices and history of coexisting and learning from it, and she looks forward to sharing this experience with all her new explorer friends.
